Auri simply wanted fashionable shoes that felt really good, all day long... To do this, they brought fashion designers and technical footwear engineers to the table. The end product would have to look great, not just good. Then, it would need to function in our daily lives. They had to feel good and not just when you first put them on, but after a long and perhaps even grueling day in the real world. The challenge was one that nobody had accomplished in footwear before. To develop a brand DNA that would glide as easily down the catwalks of a fashion show as the hard sidewalks of our lives. The materials and craftsmanship would demand all Italian leathers, hand-stitched details, hand burnished finishes and technical materials originally developed for NASA. This was going to be completely new and revolutionary!
