Spring Trends from Fashion Week

New York Fashion week just wrapped—and as the premier fashion clothing store in the South Bay, we’re bringing you our reports straight from the runways. Color was everywhere, from bold, solid color pieces to cheery color blocking. Vibrant prints from head-to-toe were reflected in every collection, from Alberto clothing and Dismero clothing to an array of designers that are already extremely popular in the South Bay fashion scene.

Vivid florals and mirror-like geometric shapes were coupled with classic black blouses and pants. Pops of fun hues of orange, tangerine and coral were prevalent in almost every collection, including Lafayette 148, which is one of the most popular designers among customers of our fashion clothing store. Head to toe in one color makes for a chic, effortless look this season, and is a trend that is already taking effect among Redondo Beach fashion ensembles. For those who don’t like to go too bright, there were also lots of feminine pastel hues to exude a low-key, ladylike vibe.

Pixilated prints and swirling graphics give a fresh feeling to played out, classic patterns like plaids and stripes. Futuristic prints are already popping up among all the favorite South Bay fashion designers. Pairing a futuristic piece with something simple like a classic tee makes for a stylish look that’s not too trendy and can easily go from day to night.

Another surprise was the uber contemporary blazer and dress shorts combination, for a leggy look that can be office-appropriate, depending on your industry. Dismero clothing offered a series of great jackets, blazers and blouses in neutrals, nautical colors and pops of orange that are offered at our fashion boutique—perfect for pairing with stylish shorts or pants to create a new range of versatile outfits.

We can already tell from both the runways and the response at our fashion boutique that metallics and shine will be everywhere this season. In everything from wrap skirts and slim pants to silver and gold platforms, metallics make for easy glamour that steals the spotlight, even in ready to wear clothing. Shiny bronzes, emerald greens and other new hues give an entirely new take to the shine effect.
